ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstracts should be submitted before 15th January 2012 by email to the following address: ieosantander@ieo.csic.es. In order to determine the relevance of the paper, the abstract must be an indicative summary, which reports the purpose, methodology, results, conclusions and implications of the study.

Please state your preference for oral or poster presentation, and indicate the scientific topic where your investigation should be addressed. After submitting, you will receive an email confirming reception of your abstract.

All abstracts submitted will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee specialised in each topic. The Scientific Committee will select the papers to be presented at the Symposium according to their quality, relevance of the study and suitability to the aims and topics of the Symposium.

The best oral communication and poster of junior researchers will be considered by the Scientific Committee.

Instructions for posters:
The organizing Committee will provide the poster panels. The size of the poster should not exceed 110cm x 110cm. Posters should be exclusively in English.

Instructions for oral communication:
English is highly recommended for oral presentations, but Spanish and French languages are accepted. After submitting, you will receive an email confirming reception of your abstract.

GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Presentations should be produced in Microsoft Windows PowerPoint (only 1024x768 resolution is accepted), or in a format that is viewable using PowerPoint 2007. PDF formats readable by Adobe Reader are also acceptable.

Windows Media Player (with avi codec installed) and RealPlayer (with avi and mov codecs installed) are available for playing movies.

Presentations are limited to 15 minutes, at which time the conclusion slide will be presented (on prompting by the Session Chair). At the 17 minute mark, the Session Chair will invite questions for 2 to 3 minutes.

Important Dates

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 15th January 2012. [now closed]

All abstracts will be reviewed and notification of acceptance for presentation:
- Due to the deadline extension (from 16th December 2011 until the 15th January 2012) it will take a little longer than previous announced the final decisions regarding abstract acceptance. Please we are working on matter and we will get back to all authors as soon as possible.
